Chicken & Carrot Stew

Chicken & Carrot Stew
What other dish where you just throw everything into a pot and wait for it to cook by itself? If you have a slow cooker you can just dump everything inside. Walah.. once you are back from work, its ready to fill your stomach.

This time,  I will just cut the carrots into huge chunks, because it’s a stew. If I cut it to thin, by the time the food is ready, the carrots probably melted. If they are in huge chunks, it will take a longer time to cook, which is just perfect for stewing time.

Ingredients
1 pack chicken meat
1 carrot, 2 cloves garlic
1 shallot, ½ teaspoon sugar, ¼ cup water
2 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon oyster sauce
Prepare & cook
Wash and clean up chicken
Heat oil add onion
Add garlic + carrot for 5 minutes
Add chicken & oyster sauce
Add 2 tablespoon soy sauce
½ cup water.
Let it simmer for half hour. If it dries up, you can add more water.
Ready to serve

Why do we add shallots first then followed by garlic? Why not put them all at once or garlic first then shallots? Because garlic cook faster than shallots. To avoid your garlic to be burn and turn bitter, put the shallots first.

Lazy Bones with Lazy Egg Bun.

Toast Egg Bun -> Simplest Egg sandwich Ever
Lazy Bones with Lazy Egg Bun.
I did’t believe how lazy I could become at times. It was another lazy weekend afternoon, it was hot and sunny outside. So it's not a good day to be out of the house with the lazy bones. We decided to have a light meal.
How simple could I explain this meal? Its like 10 minutes only and tadaaaaaaaaa………. And the oven toaster is doing the job for you. It did not look pretty but it was easy and can be eaten. Guess that is most important on a lazy day.

Ingredient Prepare Cook

Bread – spread with butter
Hit egg on the bread
Toast it for 10 minutes

Pork Strips Deep Fried

Looking for another quick cooking method. Not going to hang long in the kitchen. What can I cook? Best way for quick cooking is using pre-pack ingredient.
Why do we add sesame oil to marinate the meat? Because sometimes some pork smells too strong, adding sesame oil would make your meat more fragrant.

Ingredient & cook
Slice pork to strips
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Marinate pork with sesame oil at least 1 hour
Prepare the pre- pack Japanese Batter on a DRY plate
Roll the pork strip all over the batter
Heat oil, ensure oil is hot before adding in the pork strips.
Start frying
Get ready the kitchen tissue on the plate when you remove it from the pan

Tips
Hot does not mean smoking hot, else you will burn the strips before its cooked.
Don’t fry too long because it will make the pork will be rough and tough and dry.
For this dish, sauce would be chili sauce or ketchup

Sorry people, I am unable to tell you the brand name neither the name of the Japan flour used here because I can't read Japanese. But the good thing about technology now, I can snap you a picture. Now you can see it.
