This dish has
been a favorite to many, from young to old for many generations. Many people
would never get bored with this dish for lunch and for dinner. If you use
kampong chicken, you will have to boil for almost 2 hours else the meat would
be too hard. If you use normal chicken, boil 1- 1.5 hours max else your chicken
will be too soft. This delicious Tau Eu chicken may take some time to cook but
you could just have this one dish with everything in it and need not cook
another dish for the day. All in one pot.
While boiling
the chicken, I was already thinking about the Tau Eu (Soy sauce) mixing up with
my white rice! Absolutely delicious!
If you plan on
adding more side dishes like the following:-
Potatoes – add
in 30 minutes before serving,
Lettuce – add
in 2 minutes before serving.
Boiled Eggs –
30minutes before serving.
Pick one? Pick
all? Suit yourself.
