Leeks are also known as Allium porrum. Leeks, smells abit like onion but lighter. It is like huge spring
onions. Cut the leeks sideways. Wonder why to cut it this way? Its been this
way for many generations. Maybe it is to avoid the leeks layers to break out into tiny rings while you cook later. I bought 1 stretch of Roast pork from the wet market was
RM10, about 12 pieces after being chopped up.
While cooking the leeks with oyster sauce, you could add in 2
tablespoon water. Why only 2 tablespoon water? Because I need to dilute the
oyster sauce for it to be absorb by the leeks as leeks has many layers inside
but I do not want the Roast pork to be too wet and soggy.
Ingredient
3 stalk of leeks, 1 stretch of Roast pork
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon oyster sauce, 2 tablespoon water
Prepare & cook
Slice leeks sideways
Heat oil, heat up the Roast pork till fragrant smell of pork comes
out
Remove roast pork to plate
Add in garlic, fry for few seconds
Add in leeks, 1 teaspoon salt,1 teaspoon sugar
Add 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, 2 tablespoon water
Stir up for 5-7 minutes
Add the roast pork, stir for 10 seconds
Ready
to serve
