Ready for some finger food? It’s a dish as titbits. Baby pomfret
fish, it is really tiny, not bigger than your 16 year old kid palm. Look at the
picture posted, it is really tiny and shiny. Why it is said to be a finger
food? Since the size is small and tiny, it is obvious there isn’t much fish
flesh. Doubt you could fill your stomach even after having a dozen. The ½
kilograms of baby pomfret is about a dozen (12 pieces) from the wet market.
Ensure you drip dry your fishes before you start cooking. My pan only fits 4
fishes each time, so I have to fry another 3 rounds.
How do you eat these? Do u pick out the fish bones or slice to be
fillets? Nop, you eat them in 3 bites like biscuits? You could try this way, you
could bite off both sides of the fin (left & right), bite of the head &
its tail but not the centre bone. Of course, you would have to chew the fins
together with it. Please DO NOT eat the centre bone as its hard. WARNING &
DANGER, you have to be careful of the tiny bones, its not advisable for kids to
have this dish. Even for adults, you have to be careful. But some people really
like to chew the bones as its crunchy after it is been deep fried. Pleaseeee
be careful it’s a ‘full of bones dish’.
Adding more taste, we had made some birds eye chili as sauce.
